Happy 3310th Anniversary! Each year, on Shavuot, we celebrate God’s commitment to us as his Chosen Ones and eat cheesecake to celebrate the giving of the Torah. An anniversary is a time of reflection, review and resets and in every relationship we can use this time productively to set news goals, assess old ones and consider the current status.
By taking time to reflect on how you are contributing to your relationship with the one you love, you put yourself in a much more powerful position, because knowing what role you play makes you feel important.
You don’t have to wait for your anniversary to reflect on how you are doing as a partner. You can check in any time. The more often you do, the more you will have your finger on the pulse of your relationship.
5 Questions you may want to ask yourself :
1) Am I being fully present in my relationship with my partner?
2) Am I bringing my best self?
3) What am I doing to help bring out my best self?
4) If I feel emotionally disconnected, what is this about and what can I do to create more of a connection?
5) What are my hopes and dreams for the future of our relationship and how can I convey them to my partner?
Asking yourself these questions can go a long way towards strengthening your connection with your partner and revel in the joy of being a His/Her chosen one!
